Sonora, CA– Missing pieces to a vehicle pursuit have been found.
Five days ago, deputies began their morning chasing a vehicle in the North Tuolumne and Porto Fino Road area. The chase ended that day with an abandoned vehicle and a missing suspect who had fled on foot.
Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department officials say that over the weekend, deputies identified the suspect as Tuolumne resident, 18-year-old Andrew Oppenhein when they went to his residence to serve an unconnected arrest warrant.
Oppenhein now faces being charged with Evading arrest.
