A second arrest has been made in the shooting death of a man whose body was found near White Pines Lake near Arnold.

44-year-old Carol Stites has now been arrested. She lives with 39-year-old Arlin Crawford in Arnold. Crawford was arrested last week in connection with the death of Brad Davis of Avery.

Both Crawford and Stites face first-degree murder charges.

Authorities say Stites is being held at the Tuolumne County Jail because she works as a Calaveras County Mental Health employee.

An autopsy on Davis revealed that Davis died of multiple gunshot wounds.
