All flags at Tuolumne and Calaveras California Department of Forestry facilities as well as all Tuolumne County government buildings will be flown at half staff in memory of firefighter Eva Schike of Arnold.

Schicke was part of a seven member CDF Helitack crew from the Columbia Air Attack base fighting the Tuolumne Fire when the crew was overrun by flames. Six of the firefighters was injured.

Flags will remain lowered until the memorial service is held. Firefighter badges will also wear a black shroud in her memory.
