San Andreas, CA — Two Valley Springs residents are nursing minor injuries after a two-car collision yesterday.

CHP says 39-year-old Janine Schumann was stopped on westbound Highway 26 waiting to turn left onto Hagen Court.

A report indicates that 52-year-old James Powell was approaching the intersection eastbound at about 45 miles-per-hour.

CHP says Schumann failed to see Powell approaching and turned directly into his path.

Both were transported to Mark Twain Hospital for treatment.
