Family members of a man wanted in a Sonora killing are pleading publicly for him to surrender to a Sacramento bounty hunter.
Relatives of William Nesler say they fear for his safety if he surrenders to authorities. Police say they believe Nesler is armed and dangerous. He´s wanted in the beating death of a man who lived on his property.
Sheriff´s deputies say Nesler beat David Davis an hour after being released from jail early Sunday. He had been serving time for hitting Davis a month earlier.
Nesler gained notoriety more than a decade ago when his mother fatally shot a convicted child molester suspected of sexually assaulting him.
Sacramento Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla says he´s talked with the F-B-I about helping bring Nesler in safely.
