A Bakersfield man has taken a plea bargain in the death of a three-month-old baby. Police say 19-year-old Cleon Hollinquest broke bones and even burned little Latrice Johnson with a cigarette in the weeks before he shook her to death in November.

The baby was supposed to be cared for by Hollinquest´s live-in girlfriend who was helping out a relative. Hollinquest will be sentenced later this month to more than 17 years in prison.
