A judge has dismissed charges against a Bakersfield man in the stabbing death of a woman because his confession was improperly obtained by police. Rayvaughn Embry was charged with murder in the death of Jennifer Soto in December. Judge Richard Oberholzer dropped the charges yesterday after he ruled that police violated Embry´s right to remain silent.
