It´s Halloween and all those trick or treaters will be out in force tonight.
The candy gathering can be fun, but according to the AAA of Northern California, unless parents and children take precautions, it can be dangerous. The AAA says child pedestrian deaths increase 400 percent on Halloween.
They recommend parents put reflective material on their children´s costumes or have them carry a reflective trick or treat bag, which are available at most AAA offices, including Sonora.
And drivers need to be be extra alert tonight, looking out for children crossing streets or darting out from between parked cars in the middle of the block.
Make it a safe evening of fun.
