Fire, police and medics had their hands full today at the scene of a major vehicle accident in front of Walmart
in Sonora. Police say 79 year old James Reed of Sonora and his wife Sally were leaving the parking lot at Walmart was driving out of the parking lot there when
somehow Reed lost control of his Plymouth van and smashed into 13 vehicles, jump a curb and smash into the building. One of the vehicles hit was occupied by
56 year old Kenneth Ford of Sonora who received minor injuries.

The Reeds were medflighted to area hospitals for treatment of major injuries. Part of
the parking lot at Walmart was closed to traffic for a couple of hours for crews to clean up. The accident remains under investigation.
