County Officials to Discuss Filling TGH Budget Hole
When Tuolumne County Supervisors meet this week, the County Administrator will present ideas for funding of Tuolumne General Hospital for the rest of the fiscal year.
TGH Administrator Barry Woerman has presented a plan for putting the facility on better financial footing. The plan includes staff reductions, expands long term care, and reorganizes funding for the Visiting Nurses Association. But, even with the changes, TGH is still going to be $2.7 million in the red until the end of the fiscal year. The fiscal year ends in June.
On Tuesday, Tuolumne County Administrator C. Brent Wallace is going to present ways to fill the budget hole.
Tuolumne General has been a drain on the county. Right now, it has a loan balance of over $6 million and has used about $11 million from the county general fund over the last six years.
