Former Slave´s Descendents File Lawsuit

Two surviving sons of former slave Andrew Jackson Hurdle have filed a lawsuit in California to force US corporations to repay profits reaped from the labor of their ancestors. Timothy Hurdle of San Francisco and Chester Hurdle of Sacramento have joined the country´s growing reparation movement. The brothers want an apology and financial restitution from modern American corporations with long-forgotten roots in the black slave trade. By some estimates, the unpaid wages of slavery with interest could reach one-point-four trillion dollars. Critics of the reparation movement say the lawsuits unfairly punish investors and institutions for the misdeeds of long-dead ancestors.
