Oakdale Man Dies In Accident

An unidentified Oakdale man had died in an automobile accident occuring early Sunday morning. At about 2 am, the man was driving his car along Geer Road at a high rate of speed when he traveled over the Tuolumne River bridge. As he began to make a right turn he lost control of his vehicle which went down off the road and threw a weeded area. It jumped over a 50 to 60 feet spillway where it came to rest on the other side. The man did not have a seatbelt on and was pronounced dead on the scene.
