Water Woes Keep A Library Closed
Tuolumne City, CA – Damage from a water pipe that burst at the Tuolumne City Library has kept the branch closed for nearly a month. The library was slated to reopen today, but delays in repairs have pushed the date back to Wednesday, January 8th at 2 pm.
Youth, Literacy, & Outreach Librarian Lynn McCormick says, “The sheetrock repairs are done and the book shelves are up, but they have not been restocked. Also, the furniture is not in place so we wouldn’t be able to help anyone find anything or be able to get to the items.”
A water leak in a nearby office also kept the Twain Harte Branch Library closed through the holidays. It reopened this past Thursday.
