What has the hospital done in response to changes to Medi-Cal?
Sonora Regional Medical Center is committed to providing quality health care for everyone in our community. We are investing in our rural health clinic, the Forest Road Health and Wellness Center, to expand both primary care and specialty services. We will be adding physician coverage for specialty services which includes behavioral health, dermatology, gastroenterology, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, podiatry, and urology.
The mission of the Medical Center is to share God’s love by providing physical, mental and spiritual healing. By expanding services to meet the needs of our patients as California transitions to managed care, we are able to fulfill our mission. The Medical Center will be announcing more details about the expanded services at the Forest Road Health and Wellness Center after the first of the year.
Staff at Forest Road can provide more information about Medi-Cal Managed Care and help with enrollment. The Tuolumne County Public Health Department also has resources to help with Medi-Cal and CMSP.
