Caltrans Work Starts Sunday This Week
Stockton, CA — Again this Sunday evening at 7, crews will set up for another week’s worth of overnight paving operations near Jamestown.
The work zone will set up on Highway 49/108 between North Highway 120, before Simms Road, and Chicken Ranch Road. Caltrans expects the work to wind up Friday morning, Oct. 2. So, plan for a second week of one-way traffic control and crews in place nightly from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. and delays of at least 15 minutes; enough to consider taking an alternate route, if possible.
On Highway 12, round-the-clock work resumes again on those long-term improvements in Valley Springs between Pine Street and Cosgrove Creek. Related work on Highway 26 is also planned between Nove Way and Highway 12. Neither should generate motorist delays. Shoulder work on Highway 26 Monday through Friday between Highway 12 and Paloma Road from 8:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. may cause brief delays.
Tree work on Highway 26 beginning Sunday and continuing through next Saturday morning, Oct. 3 will concentrate between Happy Valley and Lower Dorray roads. Crews will be in place daily through the period from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Expect brief delays.
In Tuolumne County, on Highway 108, drainage cleaning operations are planned Monday through Friday between Herring Creek Road and the Donnell Rest Area Entrance, past Eagle Meadow Road with traffic controls in place and minor delays between 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
On Highway 120, each weekday, between Pine Tree Point, past Grizzly Road, and Ferndale Road, slope repair and clearing is scheduled from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., which may cause motorists brief delays.
