Name Released In Deadly Motorcycle Crash

Tuolumne County, CA — The Tuolumne County Coroner has released the name of a man that died after a two-vehicle wreck near Lake Don Pedro on Saturday morning.
He has been identified as 50-year-old Michael Ross from Sunnyvale. Ross was driving a 2015 BMW eastbound on Highway 120 west of Jacksonville Road when he tried to pass a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta, which also pulled into the westbound lane to pass the car ahead. The two vehicles collided and Ross was ejected from the bike. He succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the Jetta, 47-year-old John David Wagner of Jonesboro, Arkansas, was not injured.
Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash, according to the CHP.
