Caltrans Road Roundup For The Week Of Nov. 7-11
Sonora, CA — The sunny skies will allow Caltrans crews to keep busy in the Mother Lode next week.
Some possible hefty delays in Tuolumne County along Highway 120 with crews working on a couple of stretches of the roadway, which will create anywhere from 10 to 15-minute hold ups.
Flaggers will be conducting one-way traffic control on the highway from Old Priest Grade Road to Evergreen Road for tree work beginning Sunday through Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Additional tree work along Highway 108 between Chief Fuller Way and Kennedy Meadows continues Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., which could cause travelers up to 10-minute delays.
Highway 120’s closure remains in place in the overnight hours for work on the James E. Roberts Bridge, Sunday through Friday, detouring motorists for about 15-minutes from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m.
Calaveras Cone Zones
Next week motorists will also face 10-minutes delays on Highway 4 in Calaveras County. There will be one-way traffic control along sections of the roadway from the Stanislaus/Calaveras County line to Cabbage Patch Log Road. Caltrans offers this schedule:
- One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from the Stanislaus/Calaveras County line to SR-49 in Angels Camp for paving operations beginning Monday, November 7, 2016, through Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Upper Moran Road to Big Trees Park Entrance for utility work beginning Monday, November 7, 2016, through Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Big Trees Village Drive to Black Springs Road for tree work beginning Monday, November 7, 2016, through Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. This work will continue Thursday, November 10, 2016, through Friday, November 11, 2016, from 6:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Dorrington Station to Cabbage Patch Log Road for pavement work beginning Monday, November 7, 2016, through Friday, November 11, 2016, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Utility work on Highway 4 between Lakemont Drive and Henry Street continues to slow traffic daily from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. That same work and some paving will also mean minor slowdowns in the following Calaveras locations next week: on Highway 26 weekdays between Nove Way and Highway 12, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.; along Highway 49 weekdays between Main Street and Pool Station Road, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Striping operations are starting up again Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Highway 12 between the San Joaquin/Calaveras County line and Highway 49, triggering 10-minute backups. More striping, utility and tree work along various stretches of Highway 26 beginning at Shelton Road and ending at the Calaveras/Amador County line will prompt up to 10-minute delays.

- A moving closure on eastbound and westbound SR-26 from Shelton Road to SR-49 in Mokelumne Hill for striping operations beginning Monday, November 7, 2016, through Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- The #1 (left) lane, right and left shoulders, bike lane and median will alternately close on eastbound and westbound SR-26 from Nove Way to SR-12 for utility work beginning Monday, November 7, 2016, through Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-26 from Humbug Creek Road to the Calaveras/Amador County line for tree work beginning Wednesday, November 9, 2016, through Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
