Admission Waived In Yosemite In Honor Of Presidents’ Day
Yosemite, CA — Yosemite National Park will waive admission fees on Monday in honor of Presidents’ Day.
Spokesperson Jamie Richards reports that it is a “fee-free day” at all national parks across the country. She adds, “Visitors are welcome to come join us on Monday. We have ranger led activities going on every day in the park.”
With precipitation likely on Monday, visitors should come prepared for the conditions. Richards says, “We strongly advise all visitors to check current conditions before coming out and look at the weather forecast. If you are coming into an area with snow, do make sure that you have snow tires and chains in your vehicle in case you do encounter chain control conditions. Come prepared for a wonderful day in the park.”
In 2017, the National Park Service offers free admission for Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 16), Presidents’ Day (February 20), National Park Week (April 15-16 and April 22-23), the National Park Service’s Birthday (August 25), National Public Lands Day (September 30) and Veterans Day weekend (November 11-12).
