There are several festive events continuing and scheduled for this weekend.
The Clarke Broadcasting Interfaith Santa Fly-In Cash and Coat Drive will conclude by collecting all the coats from the community coat drive tomorrow at Standard Park and then Santa will arrive. Details are here.
The Polar Express train ride at Railtown1897 begins today. A special inaugural run on Wednesday, December 3rd, was funded by the Sonora Area Foundation.
Hospice of Amador & Calaveras Annual Tree of Lights event will be held at the Calaveras Hospice Thrift Store in Angels Camp. Support the Hospice program by purchasing a light- tree lighting at 6pm, details are here.
Columbia State Historic Park is hosting Lamplight Tours today and tomorrow. Tours leave every 15 minutes beginning at 6:30pm on Friday and 5:30pm on Saturday. Information and ticket prices are here.

The 6th Annual Santa’s Gone Hawaiian Family Holiday Concert is a playful family celebration sponsored by Delta Kappa Gamma to benefit their local “Read to Me” program. The event features storytelling B.Z. Smith and Peg Reza’s Blue Shoes Ukulele Orchestra, sharing stories and songs of the Season. Tickets are $5 each along with a donation details are here.

Mountain Melody Makes Movie Magic and Holiday Fun with “Christmas at the Movies.” at Community Covenant Church 4pm on Saturday. Songs from family film favorites and music with cinematic flair sung by Calaveras County’s premier women’s chorus. Learn more here.
Sierra Waldorf School’s elves faire is also this Saturday beginning at 10AM. Enjoy shopping from local hand crafted vendors for your holiday needs. Listen to local musicians and enjoy gourmet soups, a warm beverage and a cake walk. Participate in the tiny tree raffle, dip a candle for your table, or make your own festive wreath.
