Amador County, CA—The Amador County Sheriff’s Office is praising Flock cameras for helping in arresting an alleged burglary suspect who stole thousands in tools and even attempted to steal a motorcycle.
Investigators relayed that earlier this month, deputies responded to a reported burglary on Buena Vista Road, in the Jackson Valley area southwest of Ione. They noted that a suspect was identified and a be-on-the-lookout was issued for him and his vehicle. Detectives also searched the Flock license plate reader system, which showed the suspect vehicle pulling into a Home Depot in Elk Grove, south of Sacramento, and the suspect was detained, but their name was not released. Inside the vehicle, deputies recovered multiple stolen items.
Simultaneously, deputies searched the suspect’s residence in the Jackson Valley area and recovered additional stolen items. They also discovered evidence that the suspect was switching vehicle identification numbers. Deputies arrested the suspect on burglary, grand theft, vehicle theft, and VIN switching charges.
