Jamestown, CA — Due to a break in a raw water pipeline, 33 TUD customers are currently without of service.
General Manager Pete Kampa says the pipe is located in the Montezuma Ditch, just outside of Jamestown. The pipeline was severed by a contractor doing work on the property. Kampa says all of the treated water customers still have service. It is primarily affecting agricultural or domestic customers that take water from the ditch and use home treatment systems.
Kampa says he is not sure how long it will take to have the water restored. He notes that the pipe takes special fittings which could prolong the process. Crews are planning to work tonight and tomorrow.
