Sonora, CA — More than 8,500 marijuana plants have been destroyed thanks to the work of the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department´s TNT unit with the assistance of several other agencies.
On Wednesday, Patrol deputies eradicated 8,522 marijuana plants from two grow sites in the area of Jackass Creek and Priest Coulterville Road.
The plants averaged four to six feet in height and had a street value of more than $25,000. No arrests were made and no one was injured. The eradication brings the total marijuana plant count to 28,830.
