Traffic jams surround many California wineries this week, as farmers deliver grapes that are ripening all at once. Unseasonably warm weather in much of the state has rapidly raised the sugar content of grapes, meaning they need to be picked now. Work crews are harvesting and hauling grapes to wineries night and day. The sudden crush has strained the capacity of harvest crews, truckers and wineries to handle all the fruit
