In addition to Friday´s fires, it was a rough afternoon for Mother Lode motorists.
Just before 5pm, the first calls came in about a vehicle accident with multiple injuries on Highway 120, one mile from the west entrance to Yosemite Park, near Hardin Flat.
CHP dispatchers say the road was partially blocked for as long as an hour, while tow trucks were dispatched.
There´s still no word on the extent of the injuries or the cause of the wreck in that case.
Then just before 5:30, a wreck was reported at the upper end of the Arnold Bypass, on Highway 4.
An overturned vehicle was blocking lanes in that case as well. Again, there werel no reports of any injuries.
And around 7:15pm, a single car was reported over the embankment at Highway 108. The California Highway Patrol says there were no injuries from that wreck.
