Actor Robert Conrad´s arraignment on felony drunk driving charges has been postponed because he is partially paralyzed. He was in a head-on collision on Highway 4 near Arnold on March 31st. Police say his blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit. The man in the other car was injured.
Conrad was supposed to be arraigned yesterday, but a judge continued the hearing until June 10th.
Calaveras County District Attorney Jeffrey Tuttle says he received a letter from a doctor at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. The letter said Conrad is suffering from paralysis and a head injury from the accident. Conrad´s wife says her husband is confined to a wheelchair, though can take some steps with help.
