A Lodi man was being held in the Calaveras County Jail yesterday in lieu of 55-thousand dollars bail after authorities say he threatened to blow up a mobile home by turning on the kitchen stove and lighting a lighter.
According to the Sheriff´s Department report, 24 year-old Arturo Nicholas Baron got into an argument with several family members at the Castle Rock Mobile Home Park in Valley Springs Sunday afternoon.
The argument continued outside, and deputies say Baron began lunging at people with a knife. He eventually fled on a bicycle and was found several hours later walking on Highway 12.
Baron was booked into the County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted arson.
