Authorities have announced the arrest of a Stockton man in connection with a series of shootings over the past weeks on Interstate Highway 580.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives confirms that Christopher Gafford was arrested at his Stockton home this morning without incident.

There have been eight confirmed sniper-related shootings at vehicles on I-580 between San Leandro and Dublin, but no one has been struck or injured.
