Murphy”s Man Suffers Moderate Injuries In Wreck

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a solo vehicle accident this morning on Murphy´s Grade Road. A car drifted off the roadway and into a dirt culvert striking a concrete drain abutment tearing the front tires off the vehicle. 80 year-old Thomas Smiley suffered moderate injuries in the accident and had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Altaville Melones Fire Department. He was transported to Mark Twain Hospital by ambulance.
