Members of the Tuolumne County Alliance for Resources and Environment plan to discuss the Forest
Service´s modified approval of a controversial timber sale this week.

Supervisor Ben Del Villar´s decision to cancel the sale last year triggered a rift
between the local lobbying group and his agency. TuCare president Terry Easley says the board may re-establish relationships with the Forest Service now that
the so-called “Sammy” sale has been reinstated at a reduced acreage.
