The First Garrotte Creek and Pine Mountain Lake will be off limits to people for a little while following a
leak today. Officials from the Groveland Community Services District say a broken treated wastewater irrigation line at the District Disposal site allowed 36
thousand gallons of treated wastewater to flow into the two bodies of water.
Officials have shut down the irrigation system and repairs will be done and
tested before it´s back in service. The testing may take a couple of days.
Meanwhile water in First Garrotte Creek and Pine Mountain Lake are being
monitored closely.
