A pair of Columbia businesses report they were the victims of attempted burglaries. Tuolumne County deputies say they were told nothing appears to be missing from the Columbia Frosty and the R&L Mini-Mart. Both businesses are in the 22,000 block of Parrotts Ferry road.

Deputies are also investigating the theft of a guitar from a home on Feather River Drive in Sonora. The victim says it happened some time during the past week.
