Just as CDF officials in Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties have burn permits required May first, so does
the Stanislaus Forest. Forest officials say burn permits will be required in undeveloped campgrounds in the forest for campfires or other
burning.

Campers should clear at least 5 feet to bare dirdt around campfires, never leave them unattended, never burn on windy days and put out fires
with at least 5 gallons of water.

Permits can be obtained free of charge at any forest service office.
