Sonora Police are trying to determine who started a fire next to a wall at the Sonora Community Hospital construction site on Greenley Road over the weekend. The small blaze caused about $1,000 in damage. They are also looking into a break-in at a church on the 400 block of Stockton Road.

A vehicle parked on Elk Drive was broken into, and items were taken from an unlocked car on McCormick Drive, police say.

Tuolumne County deputies say an RV parked at a Sonora storage yard was broken into and items taken from it. They are also investigating vandalism to a payphone in front of Tuolumne Market in Tuolumne City.
