Two of California State Assemblyman Dave Cogdill´s bills designed to fight the problem of
methamphetamine were defeated today by the Assembly Public Safety Committee.

Cogdill says the bills failed because of partisan votes or votes of the
Democrat-led Committee. These bills would charge people with child abuse if they make the drug in the presence of children and increase the punishment put on
those people who commit these crimes.

Cogdill says with some minor changes, he´ll bring it back before the Public Safety Committee next week.
