Firefighters are investigating a small grass fire in La Grange about 5 miles from Don Pedro that broke out
shortly before 11 last night. Sheriff Dick Rogers reported the fire, which is suspicious in origin. It was put out quickly.

Another small fire was quickly
doused after one of the display fireworks on the lake got out of hand briefly. You´re reminded again that private fireworks are illegal in Tuolumne County and
many parts of Calaveras County. A professional display is set for the Calaveras County Fairgounds tonight.
