PDA Stolen From Shelley’s Home
San Francisco police are investigating the theft of a handheld computer containing sensitive information from the home of outgoing Secretary of State Kevin Shelley.
Shelley´s home was burglarized over the weekend by someone who bypassed valuables and took only his personal digital assistant, or P-D-A.
Shelley called police Sunday morning after discovering someone had apparently entered his home through an open window during the night. Police say they have recovered some evidence, but would not be specific.
Shelley resigned his post earlier this month, effective next Tuesday, amid questions about campaign contributions and state and federal investigations into his handling of election money.
