Officials Investigate Suspected Arson Fire At Madera Restaurant

Madera, CA — Fire officials are investigating a suspected arson fire at a Madera restaurant early yesterday.
Authorities responded with four engines and a support vehicle to the Las Tejanitas Cafe at about 2:00 in the morning. The fire was under control shortly after 11:00.
Damage was estimated at $400 thousand to the building and its contents. Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to an adjoining structure saving about $100 thousand.
Investigation of the blaze is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Mariposa-Madera CDF office.
