Three Citations Issued In “Minor Decoy” Operation
San Andreas, CA — Three store clerks have been issued citations as a result of a sting operation by the Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department.
The Department, along with agents from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control conducted an undercover minor decoy operation Friday night in which 13 stores across the county were targeted.
Authorities sent minors into the stores to attempt to purchase alcohol. Deputies say Renee Dailey was cited at Boyett Petroleum, Janet Booth received a citation at Gas Mart in San Andreas and Starlene Frazier was cited at the Day and Nite Mini-Mart in Arnold.
The Sheriff´s office says those stores may face administrative action against their liquor licenses.
The department says the operations will continue through the holiday season and into the new year.
