Housing developer Robert Klein the Second´s coronation as California´s first stem cell czar is nearly complete.
Today, California´s treasurer nominated him to lead the agency tasked with overseeing the state´s three billion dollar research fund enacted by voters in November.
Treasurer Phil Angelides´s nomination essentially guarantees that Klein will be elected chairman of the Independent Citizens Oversight Committee when its 27 members meet this Friday at University of California, San Francisco to select a leader.
The governor, lieutenant governor, controller have already nominated Klein for the position and no other candidate will be submitted to the committee.
