Tahoe Gets Grant Funds For Buses

Better bus service is on its way to Lake Tahoe thanks to a grant from the US Transportation Department.
Congressman Jim Gibbons says DOT officials have approved nearly $ 2.5 million in new grants for three projects under the Tahoe Transportation District.
The money was requested a year ago to meet growing transportation needs in the area while minimizing air and water pollution.
Part of the money will be used to purchase five new natural gas-powered transit buses for the north shore of Lake Tahoe.
