Childs Slips Through Airport Security
The knives were a gift for his father. And somehow they made it through airport security and across the country.
A California woman says she was shocked when her third-grader arrived on a flight from Oklahoma and pulled out two knives from his backpack.
Both were in the nine-year-old´s Pokemon bag, which his mom says cleared a security checkpoint in Tulsa and was carried on a Continental Airlines plane.
One of the knives was a swing-open, three-inch serrated blade.
Wendy Staggs says “this is way more dangerous than a box cutter” like the ones terrorists used to hijack planes on
September eleventh.
She asks “what if a terrorist had planted this in a child´s bag and then watched him and used him to take over a plane?”
