Smog Test To Get Tougher

A bill requiring tougher auto emissions tests in the San Francisco Bay area will not be opposed by Senate President Pro Tem John Burton. The bill would require Bay Area vehicles to undergo Smog Check Two, a tougher emissions test required in all other urban areas of the state. The bill overwhelmingly passed in the Assembly in May.
