Accused Child Killer´s Employer Sued

A Moreno Valley woman has sued the former employer of Alejandro Avila, the man now charged with killing five-year-old Samantha Runnion. Gwendolyn Green says she told supervisors at Guidant Corporation that Avila made repeated sexual and vulgar comments to her. She says company officials ignored her complaints. The suit was filed Thursday in Riverside Superior Court and obtained by the Riverside Press-Enterprise. Temecula-based Guidant issued a statement denying any wrongdoing and asserting its commitment to providing a workplace free of harassment. Green says when she asked supervisors to move Avila, he was reassigned to work beside her on the same assembly line. Avila pleaded innocent this month to charges of kidnapping, sexually assaulting and killing Samantha.
