Trade Center Tribute Planned For State Capital

A September Eleventh memorial featuring steel from the World Trade Center is planned for the state capital. The design by Yucca Valley artist David Mueller features two glass monoliths resembling the twin towers in New York. They will sit between two sculptures to be made from I-beams from the 16th floor of the North Tower. It will be placed at the entrance to the Cal Expo Fairgrounds when it is dedicated next August.
