Giants One Win Away

Sponsored by:

Jeff Kent hit a pair of two-run home runs and Benito Santiago had three RBI’s as the San Francisco Giants blasted Anaheim in 16-to-4 in game five of the World Series. The Giants lead the best-of-seven series three games-to-two and are one victory away from their first World Series title since 1954, when the team played in New York.

Barry Bonds´ RBI single ignited a three-run first inning. Santiago hit a two-run single in a three-run second. Kent homered with a man on in the sixth and again in the Giants´ four-run seventh. Rich Aurilia closed the scoring with an eighth-inning three-run homer. It was the Giants 12th homer of the series, which ties the World Series record held by the 1956 New York Yankees. David Eckstein had two hits and an RBI for the Angels. Game six is Saturday night in Anaheim.
