Sacramento, CA — The State of California’s Citizen Compensation Commission will meet next week.
Three months ago, the commission approved 5% pay raises for state elected officials, such as the Governor and state Senate and Assembly seats. The Board is expected to discuss the possibility of further pay increases for state officials. At the meeting, the commission will be comparing the salaries of locally elected officials, such as city and county positions, to state positions. The Governor’s salary is $173,987 and the base salary for legislators is $95,291.
The meeting is March 13 in Sacramento.
