Some Caltrans Cone Zones Come Sunday
Sonora, CA — Another full week for Caltrans crews begins Sunday, where motorists will find ten-minute delays during the overnights in both Tuolumne and Calaveras counties.
Bridgework returns to Highway 108 in Sonora at Mono Way Sunday, which continues every evening from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Friday morning. During major renovations on the Highway 120 Tuolumne River Bridge, motorists should brace for nearly ’round-the-clock delays of up to ten minutes at a time there through the end of September.
In Calaveras County, pavement and utility work along Highways 12 and 26 also runs nightly from Sunday eve until Friday morning between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. in the following areas: Highway 12 between Cedar Street and Highway 49; and Highway 26 between Savage Way and Paloma Road as well as between Hogan Dam Road and Highway 12. Again, expect ten-minute traffic interruptions in these spots.
Ten-minute Tuolumne Daytime DelaysÂ
Along Highway 108, more ten-minute impacts are likely in Tuolumne County every weekday as tree crews return to work between Soulsbyville Road and Strawberry East from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Look for momentary travel set-backs daily during drainage work between Cascade Creek and Mill Creek roads from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Along Highway 120, more ten-minute tree work-related traffic stops are in store every weekday between Old Priest Grade Road and the West Boundary Yosemite National Park Entrance from 5:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
On Highway 49 between Shilling Road and the Jackass Gulch Bridge, drainage work every weekday will create brief traffic impacts from 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Other Calaveras Cone Zones
Along Highway 49 daily potholing work between Main Street, San Andreas and Pool Station Road returns daily from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., creating intermittent traffic snarls. Tuesday through Friday, shoulder work between Carol Kennedy Drive and Connel Lane from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. may bring ten-minute back ups.
Highway 4 utility work between Lakemont Drive and Henry Street, slated daily from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. along the shoulder, could generate five-minute delays.
