Update: Friday Widespread Power Outages In Tuolumne County
Update at 11:18 am: The earlier PG&E outages have now been restored.
Update at 9:34 am: PG&E customers impacted by an earlier outage in Columbia have now been restored. However, the 2,696 customers in Jamestown and Groveland are still without power. PG&E is hoping for full restoration by 10:30 am.
Update at 8:15 am: Columbia College is impacted by today’s power outage and the school reports that classes are delayed until 1 pm.
Original story posted at 7:34 am: Jamestown, CA — There are a pair of power outages in the Mother Lode impacting nearly 4,000 PG&E customers.
The first incident started during the six o’clock hour this morning and stretches from Jamestown over to Groveland. 2,696 customers are without power and full restoration is anticipated by 10:30 am.
The second incident, starting during the seven o’clock hour this morning, is impacting 1,311 customers in the Columbia area. PG&E says it is unclear when those customers will be restored.
Both outages were unplanned and PG&E reports that it is evaluating the electrical system to identify any damaged sections so that necessary repairs can be made, and power can be restored.
The PG&E outage map indicates that they are impacting areas like Columbia State Park, Columbia Airport, downtown Jamestown and Pine Mountain Lake.
