Yarts Bus Ridership Doubling

Sonora, CA — Service from Sonora to Yosemite started in May and officials say ridership is doubling every week.
The Bus isn’t full, but Transportation Planner, Tyler Summersett says they are seeing a mix of tourists and area residents opting for the bus.
Summersett says they plan to implement a new advanced online booking service in the next couple of weeks to make getting tickets more convenient. Right now, riders have to buy the ticket on the bus with exact change.
The bus takes off from downtown Sonora daily, at the Inns of California, at 8 am and returns around 8:30pm.
The cost is $25 dollars for adults. The Yarts bus will run through the end of September.
