Voting Will Start Soon
Sonora, CA — Vote-by-mail ballots will start going out on October 8th for the November election.
Tuolumne County’s Elections Official Debi Russell is encouraging everyone to make sure that registration information is up to date. “If you have moved, or gotten married and changed your name, you need to re-register to vote,” says Russell. “If someone is going to turn 18 by November 6th, and want to vote for the President for the first time, they also need to register.”
70 percent of the Tuolumne County electorate chooses to vote-by-mail. There will be several issues up for vote in November, including county supervisor, school board and water district races. There will also be local and state ballot measures.
It is noted that early voting will also begin on October 8th at the Elections Office in downtown Sonora.
