Mostly sunny and dry weather is expected in the Motherlode this three-day Holiday weekend.
If you have travel plans below the Motherlode, you may want to allow extra time due to the possiblity of fog in the central valley.
If you are traveling into the mountains, be aware of a very weak system that is expected to move through the area late Saturday night into Sunday morning.
The snow levels will range from 7000 through 8000 feet. A few inches of snow is expected near the Sierra crest.
