Register For Happy Paws Dog Walk

The eighth annual Happy Paws Dog Walk & Festival will be held in Tuolumne City on Saturday September 10th.


Michelle Morris from the Board of Directors with the Humane Society of Tuolumne County was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.


The actual walk will begin in downtown Tuolumne City (at Memorial Park) at 9:00 a.m. Directions will be handed out beginning at 8:30am.


Dogs (and humans) of every type are invited. The walk will last for around a half hour.


From 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 The Happy Paws Festival will take place featuring:


◦An Obstacle/Agility Course
◦Dancing Dogs of the Sierra
◦Nosework Dogs of the Sierra
◦Doggie Costume Contest
◦Festival Vendors and Stands
◦Raffle Drawing
◦Silent Auction 
◦The Humane Society of Tuolumne County
◦Therapy Dogs of the Sierra
◦Mother Lode K9 Training


As far as the rules for participation for the Dog Walk:


•All dogs must have a current rabies inoculation and proof of current license required.
•All walkers are welcome, with or without a dog.
•Only dogs are allowed to participate for safety reasons.
•Dress your dog in costume for the contest!
•All walkers must complete and sign a registration form.
•Female dogs in season are not allowed to participate.
•Dogs must be leashed (6′ max) and kept under control.
•Any unruly or aggressive dogs will be asked to leave.
•Participants are expected to practice responsible pet ownership.
Please Pick up after your dog!
(Pooper Scoopers will be available by garbage cans along the route.)
