Gas Leak In San Andreas

San Andreas, CA– Highway 49 is closed from Broadway to Pool Station Road in San Andreas due to a gas leak in the area.
According to Cal Fire’s Lisa Williams, the propane gas leak was reported in the noon hour and five homes have been evacuated. No injuries have been reported. CHP says Highway 49 should be reopened at approximately 4 pm. Travel with caution in the area.
Calaveras High School has been evacuated as a precaution. Those with cars were allowed to go home and those without vehicles are being transported to Toyon Middle School.
